Most assessment centres follow a similar style and structure. You can prepare for exercises and psychometric tests, but may be faced with on the spot activities or presentations.

An assessment centre is not actually a ‘centre’. The term is used to describe a series of selection activities carried out over a whole day or sometimes longer. Assessment centres are becoming increasingly popular with top recruiters who wish to see face-to-face whether an applicant can actually do the job they are applying for. Applicants complete tasks that measure their skills and knowledge against the competencies which are required for the role.
